In March and April, the Illinois Attorney General’s Office worked with community organizations throughout Chicago to hold fourteen Consent Decree Community Roundtables. (To view a list of the roundtables, click here). The purpose of these roundtables was to ensure that all interested Chicago residents have a meaningful opportunity to provide input on reform of the Chicago Police Department. If you were unable to attend a community roundtable, you can still provide your input here.

Facilitators affiliated with the Institute of Policy and Civic Engagement (IPCE), University of Illinois at Chicago, led roundtable participants in conversations on three topics related to police reform: impartial policing, community policing, and use of force. The facilitators took detailed notes during these conversations, and these notes were collected by IPCE at the conclusion of each roundtable. IPCE will be releasing a report that analyzes and summarizes the input received during the roundtables. Please check back for updates.
